Hiring Room: Interview Prep · Last updated: July 29, 2026
Hiring Room is designed so that your data never leaves your device. This page explains exactly what that means.
Notes you write about candidates stay in the app's local storage on your device. They are never uploaded, synced or shared by the app. Handling that information responsibly — and in line with the employment and privacy rules of your region — remains your responsibility as the interviewer.
The optional app lock uses Apple's LocalAuthentication framework. Biometric data is processed entirely by iOS on your device; the app never sees, stores or transmits it.
Reminders are optional local notifications scheduled on your device. They involve no server and can be disabled at any time in iOS Settings. Notification text is deliberately generic and never includes a candidate's name.
Backup files (JSON) and Interview Packs (PDF) are generated locally and shared only through the iOS share sheet at your explicit request. Where you send them is entirely your choice.
Hiring Room does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this page with a new date.
