Hiring Room is a private, fully offline workspace for the interviewer's side of the table. Define the role's scorecard once, ask every candidate the same questions, capture evidence in Interview Mode, score before you decide, and compare candidates on the same criteria.
Where is my data stored?
Entirely on your device. Hiring Room has no account, no cloud and no analytics. Nothing you write ever leaves your iPhone or iPad unless you export it yourself.
How do I back up my roles and interviews?
Settings → "Export backup (JSON)". Keep the file anywhere you like; restore it later from the same screen. Restoring replaces all current data.
The Face ID lock won't turn on.
Face ID, Touch ID or a device passcode must be set up in iOS Settings first. If biometrics are removed later, the app fails open so you are never locked out.
Reminders don't arrive.
Reminders are optional local notifications. Allow notifications for Hiring Room in iOS Settings, and note that the 1-hour reminder can't be set if the interview starts in less than an hour.
Is the "Don't Ask" section legal advice?
No. It is a general guide to commonly restricted interview topics, with job-related alternatives. Employment and interview rules differ by region — before relying on it, check with HR or a qualified professional.
